SmartHighlights is a platform designed to transform instruction, accelerate player learning, and elevate coaching through simple and accessible video technology.
We are currently launching Phase 1 — “Capture”, focused on easy match and lesson recording, playback, and video management for coaches, players, and parents.
Future phases will introduce enhanced lesson summaries, AI-driven insights, analytics, and additional tools.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support product development, pilot execution, and market expansion efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in AI-driven sports technology, product strategy, and real-world deployment within the tennis ecosystem.
The intern will work directly with the Founder and leadership team on MVP development coordination, pilot implementation, market research, customer engagement strategy, analytics, and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Product Support
- •Support testing of new prototype features
- •Research best practices in AI video processing and sports analytics
- •Assist with recordings for our events (camera setup, field testing workflows)
- •Obtain feedback from clients at events from coaches and sponsors
- •Support creating and revising documentation for users — product features, user workflows
Market & Strategy Research
- •Conduct competitor analysis (SwingVision, PlaySight, Baseline Vision, etc.)
- •Research TAM/SAM opportunities in tennis and adjacent sports
- •Identify partnership opportunities with colleges and academies
Investor Preparation
- •Assist in preparing investor materials
- •Support pricing model analysis
- •Explore marketplace content strategy and expansion into additional sports

Ideal Candidate
- •Passion for sports (tennis preferred)
- •Interest in AI, analytics, or product development
- •Strong analytical and organizational skills
- •Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
- •Experience with Excel, Google Workspace, or basic data tools
- •Bonus: familiarity with video editing, Python, or sports analytics tools
Commitment
- •10–20 hours per week (flexible)
- •3–6 month commitment preferred
- •Potential for extended role based on performance
