Future phases will introduce enhanced lesson summaries, AI-driven insights, analytics, and additional tools.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Social Media Manager to lead SmartHighlights' social media strategy, brand awareness, audience growth, and content engagement efforts.
This individual will work directly with the Founder and leadership team to develop and execute social media campaigns, create compelling content, manage community engagement, and help position SmartHighlights as a leader in sports technology and tennis innovation.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, content creation expertise, and a passion for sports, technology, and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy
- •Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms
- •Create and manage content calendars aligned with product launches, events, and company milestones
- •Establish brand voice, messaging standards, and social media best practices
- •Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to increase visibility and engagement
Content Creation
- •Create engaging social media content including graphics, videos, reels, stories, and posts
- •Repurpose product demonstrations, pilot footage, testimonials, and event content
- •Collaborate with leadership to develop thought leadership content
- •Support creation of promotional campaigns for coaches, facilities, colleges, and event partners
Community Engagement
- •Manage daily social media interactions and audience engagement
- •Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- •Build relationships with coaches, players, facilities, organizations, and industry influencers
- •Encourage user-generated content and customer success stories
Analytics & Growth
- •Track social media performance metrics and campaign effectiveness
- •Provide monthly reporting and recommendations for improvement
- •Analyze audience growth, engagement trends, and content performance
- •Identify opportunities to expand reach across tennis and adjacent sports markets
Event & Brand Promotion
- •Support social media coverage for showcases, tournaments, pilot programs, and product launches
- •Coordinate promotional activities with strategic partners and sponsors
- •Capture and distribute event highlights, success stories, and customer testimonials

Ideal Candidate
- •5+ years of social media, digital marketing, or content management experience
- •Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- •Experience creating engaging video and graphic content
- •Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- •Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- •Passion for sports, technology, and startup environments
- •Bonus: Tennis industry experience or knowledge of sports technology platforms
Compensation
Compensation for this role may be structured as either equity participation in SmartHighlights.ai or a fixed-fee independent contractor agreement, based on the candidate's experience, availability, and overall contribution to the organization.
